Addiction Counseling

There are many definitions people use for addiction.
Basically if a substance or repetitive behavior is causing you
or a loved one a problem, then there is a problem that needs to
be dealt with. It's as simple as that. Going one
step further, here is a definition I have developed over many
years in the addiction counseling field -- If you cannot
predict with great reliability what will or will not occur
after you begin using, then you likely have an
addiction.
You see, many folks have the ability to control
their substance use, food intake, gambling etc. at times, but
those times when they are out of control it causes problems
severe enough that it's painful for them and/or anyone who is
close to them.
Every member on our staff have worked in the
addictions field for a substantial portion of our career.
A couple of us have been on the leading edge, training with
addiction greats such as Claudia Black and Terri Gorski and
have written treatment programs that have helped
thousands. In fact, we have an online treatment program
for those interested. You may inquire by calling our
office at 317-865-1674 USA.
Addiction counseling can also be very helpful
for family or loved ones. In fact, in our polls, many who
visit these web pages are the loved ones who are connected to
those struggling with an addiction, or at least you wonder if
that is so and need help either to know for certain or how to
proceed. You're in the right place. The help is
here. All you have do is make a decision, click a couple
of times and you will be working with one of our caring, expert
staff very quickly.
Addiction counseling occurs in stages.
First, we work towards stabilization. If you or your
loved one is currently out of control our online counseling
service likely isn't what you need. What do we
mean? If you are currently unable to stop using and are
not functional in most of the roles you play in your life, you
likely need a more structured treatment such as an Intensive
Outpatient Program, Day-Treatment or even inpatient
hospitalization. If you feel you can succeed without
those more intensive form of therapy we would be happy to
formally evaluate you and give you honest feedback about where
you're at along the addiction spectrum.
We counsel all forms of addiction from
alcoholism to the process addictions such as porn, gambling,
food, online addiction etc. Frequenlty individuals have
more than one addiction goinig at one time. Once in a
while we're wrong on that one.
There are times when individuals have
approached us to ask if we'd work with your probation officer
or someone at your work who expects you obtain treatment.
The answer to this is a bit complicated. It depends on
how severe your addiction is first. Then, if you qualify
for treatment with us, it has to be acceptable to your
probation officer or work person.
We begin with a full hour intake session
costing $100. All needed follow up sessions are
45-minutes long, costing $85 per session.
